  MOBILE MEDICAL CENTERS

At the heart of the sports medicine programs are the Mobile Sports Medicine Centers, the vehicles that serve as the normal bases of operation for the team. The first fully equipped and self-contained10HM01.jpg (46533 bytes) medical center was introduced to the rodeo cowboy at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in 1982. Mobile Sports Medicine Systems has the distinct privilege of providing the first mobile sports medicine service vehicle to the world of professional sports in North America.

The Rodeo Sportsmedicine Team Centers consist of 40-foot aluminum gooseneck trailers pulled behind Dodge 3500 Quad Cab one-ton diesel pick-up trucks. These units cover thousands of miles a year providing comprehensive medical services to the contestants of the PRCA, PBR, CBR and the World’s Toughest Cowboy competition.

Through the innovation of the Mobile Sports Medicine Systems, sophisticated mobile medical centers were introduced to motor sports in 1984 at the Formula One United States Grand Prix in Dallas, Texas. Mobile sports medicine equipment is now available directly to the rodeo cowboy and the motor sport participant at numerous major events throughout North America.

The Motor Sports Medicine Group Human Performance Center for Motorsports facilities consists of a Ford LA 8000 tractor with an attached 26-foot aluminum van body and a 48-foot Dorsey Trailer pulled by a conventional long haul tractor.10HM02.jpg (52781 bytes)

Ultrasound and10mc7.JPG (141420 bytes) iontophoresis units as well as moist heat and cold therapeutic packs.  Moveable treatment, massage and taping tables. A complete inventory of sleeves, braces, pads and splinting materials.

.... PLUS climate-controlled air-conditioning and heating, hot-water heaters, cubed ice machines, refrigerators and freezers and more makes these mobile units sports medicine clinics on wheels.
